Why I Never Train Without This Little Roll of Tape

One item in my gym bag has saved my fingers (and my training) more times than I can count.

Hey,

Quick story for you: You know what’s saved my fingers more times than I can count? A simple roll of Gold BJJ Tape.

I didn’t always carry it. Tape has saved my fingers numerous times. At first, I believed that finger tape was solely for individuals with injuries.
Wrong.

It’s not about being hurt. It’s about staying healthy while you train hard. If you practice Jiu-Jitsu for an extended period, your fingers will endure significant strain. Gripping collars, sleeves, and lapels — it adds up fast.

That’s why I always keep a roll of Gold BJJ Tape in my gym bag now. Always.
It’s strong, sticky (in a good way), and doesn’t fall apart mid-roll. Plus, it’s easy to tear — no scissors needed.

It’s not fancy. It’s simply effective. One roll = way less pain, way fewer missed sessions.

Take care of your hands. They’re kinda important. 😅

P.S. If you already tape up, what’s your go-to style? Single wrap? Buddy taping? Take a moment to “reply” and share your thoughts with me — I am fascinated by the ways in which people safeguard their grips.
